I have spent more than 20 years working with plants and gardens, building a career rooted in a deep love of horticulture. My training began at the Royal Horticultural Society at Wisley, where I worked across fruit, propagation, seed and ornamental departments, alongside completing the RHS Master of Horticulture. This gave me a strong, practical understanding of plants, soils and growing conditions, which I continue to draw on every day as a garden designer. I also hold a Garden Design Diploma from the Norfolk School of Gardening, and have developed further skills in project and business management, allowing me to bring together the creative, horticultural and practical sides of every project.

Alongside this foundation, I spent two years at the National Trust’s Blickling Estate, where I developed a particular interest in historic gardens, the walled kitchen garden and propagation. Working in this environment taught me the importance of understanding what is already there before deciding what should happen next, and reinforced my belief in sharing knowledge and helping people feel confident in their gardens. Over the past five years, I have worked as an independent garden designer, creating and transforming gardens of all sizes, from restoring tired planting and reworking existing spaces to designing entirely new gardens.

In July 2026, I was awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal at the RHS Sandringham Flower Show for a Long Border designed alongside fellow garden designer Kate Eves, a proud moment that reflects both my horticultural background and my approach to planting design. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: plants should always come first. I am passionate about choosing the right plant for the right place, creating gardens that are resilient, characterful and full of life. Ultimately, I want to design gardens that continue to evolve and surprise, spaces that inspire curiosity, connection and a lasting sense of enjoyment.
